Golfing Down South Amigo
For those people who are unaware of golfing destinations, they would remember Mexico being the home land of Edie Guerrero, a well known and well loved WWE wrestler. But it would surprise them to know that Mexico is as of now the second best world wide golf destination!! It is right behind Hawaii in the rankings. It must also be revealed that the Government Tourism Department of Mexico is trying their hardest to get it to be number one and they are pretty much succeeding too.
For seasoned travelers it is common knowledge that Mexico is blessed with beautiful locations which are as good as or even better than the best scenic locations in the world.
You can either go to the professional golf courses or you can just go and golf in the traditional courses of Mexico City, Guadalajara and Morelos. In fact there are more than 150 golf courses in Mexico and top architects like Von Hagge, Jones etc are rushing to meet the growing demands of golf courses.
To travel to Mexico is not to difficult either because from gateway U.S. you get direct flights that get you there within the day and you can get into world-class hotels teeming with the most friendliest and most respectable people you will find, or if not that you can simply go into a culturally rich inn with the old authentic charm of flowers lining the walls and beautifully done walks all around.
On the other hand when you take a break from golfing go down the Mexican roads and go wild eating Tacos or have a dignified three hour proper meal which still shows off Mexico’s food heritage. You could even take a jungle cruise or just spend the day fishing, the possibilities are endless!!
This would be as good a time as any to inform you that Mexico lies to the south of U.S.A. bordering on the states of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California. Many Mexico golf courses give a beautiful view of water bodies shining and shimmering in the morning sun and giving a scenic and peaceful place to golf leisurely.
A number of mountain peaks in Mexico are of volcanic origin and so visiting them or even striking a conversation with the locals there about them can be entertaining and a good way to have an evening drink in the local tavern.you could also dress up in the local attire with the poncho and dressy hat!!! Like the natives say “viva la rasa!!” which mean “hurray for the race” which in more simplified terms means taking pride in your race which is exactly what the Mexicans do!!
For those golfers who love drinking and discussing other golfers or their own excellent swings and comparing it to Tiger Woods, Mexico is known for its excellent beer and wines though it is most famous for its tequila.
So let us imagine a day of golf by the shimmering waters, a beautiful lunch consisting of Mexican delicacies, an evening fishing and eating tacos and a night filled with drinks and wild exploring! Enough to tempt you to go right to Mexico this very minute isn’t it? So my friends and fellow golfers “happy golfing!!”
